Profile of the programme: 
Students receive the necessary knowledge of disciplines of professional- oriented, social and economic training in an amount which provides the capability effectively and economically justifiable to solve research, industrial and technological tasks in the field of coating, surfacing and metal ware modification. Mastering of meaningful modules amount allows to make reasonable decisions in the process of development technological sequence of surface engineering processes during the process of surface engineering technologies development. Specialists get qualified training activities to research conducting, gaining proficiency in experimental investigation of engineering surface and development of conducting techniques of research. Thus masters gain the necessary knowledge of methodology for assessing innovative scientific and technological solutions, registration of legal documentation of intellectual property and it’s protection, ensuring occupational safety, determining of economical effectiveness as to engineering decision and development of production quality control technologies. Masters in this occupation possess the skills for research and development processes of coating, surface modification and other related technologies.
The total credit load of the curriculum is 90 ECTS credits including social and humanitarian modules — 6 cr., modules of professional and practical training — 58,5 cr., variative disciplines studies — 25,5 cr.

Master in Resumption and Increasing of durability of details and constructions may continue his/her studies either on postgraduate course at Lviv Polytechnic National University functioning successfully at the Department of Welding production, diagnosis and recovery of steelworks or on postgraduate course at some other higher education institute majoring in Melding and related processes. Besides, Master in this major may continue his/her study abroad according his/her Master’s program training providing passing the entrance tests successfully.
