Profile of the programme: 

The Information Security Management major combines the disciplines of natural scientific training (higher mathematics, physics, engineering and computer graphics, algorithmic language and programming, basics of the theory of circles, signals and processes in computer systems and networks) with in-depth learning of professional training courses: principles of management in the field of information security, organizational ensuring of information security, information security management systems, theory of risk, organization of special office work including basic subjects of related majors: Information and communication technologies security and Systems of technical information security.

This gives a possibility for training professionals who will be able to solve a number of urgent problems in the field of information security, that foresees development, introduction and exploitation of technical information security systems at the objects of information activity.

The total credit load of the curriculum is 240 ECTS credits, including social and humanitarian modules — 30.5 cr., fundamental, natural science and general economic modules — 82 cr., modules of professional and practical training — 127,5 cr.

    • the main principles of regulatory documents on management of internal information security;
    • the management aspects of enterprise continuity activity;
    • requirements to the executive board of the enterprise operational unit, who is responsible for information security at the enterprise;
    • the design management;
    • human resources security management;
    • marketing of the products and information security services;
    • main threats and technical vulnerability management;
    • information security incidents management;
    • the ensuring of normative quality of providing information security management services;
    • cryptographic keys distribution and certification management.

    • develop information security management systems;
    • develop complex information security systems;
    • develop methods and technical means of information resources security and databases with limited access;
    • develop modules or software components to protect data with limited access;
    • develop modules or components of the cryptographic information security means with limited access;
    • use specialized protected database for storage and processing of data with limited access;
    • analyze and form the information security specification requirements;
    • carry out audit and certification of information security systems and subsystems as well as information security management systems;
    • make an examination of complex information security systems;
    • implement and test ISMS CISS;
    • support and serve ISMS CISS;
    • implement the requirements of technical standards;
    • carry out the organizational and administrative documentation of information;
    • organize protected electronic documents circulation and circulation of documents containing data with limited access;
    • apply software systems of automated processing and information security with limited access.

The activity objects of a Bachelor in Information Security Management are systems of information security management, analysis and specification of the information security systems requirements, development of information security complex , internal information security management, management of enterprises activity continuity, management and access control in automated systems, monitoring of systems, subsystems and systems for information security management.

Occupation: a specialist in information security management

A specialist has been able to perform the following work:

  • consulting about security of industrial facilities, houses and public buildings with the assessment of their safety;
  • security activities carried out by mechanical and electrical protective devices;
  • services which provide information protection in computer and other technical devices from copying and unauthorized access;
  • other services providing security and protection.
Access to further studies: 

Bachelor in Information Security Management may continue his/her studies at the university the second cycle degree Master/Specialist in the major of Administrative management in the field information security.

Examination regulations, assessment and grading: 

Provisional Regulation on knowledge evaluation and recognition of students’ rating in the credit-modular system of the educational process.

Graduation requirements: 

Completed curriculum with credit load 240 credits, defended bachelor’s thesis.
