1. Subject area knowledge

  • Basic ideas of the structure, control, and optimization of a technological process; selection and calculation for effective consumption of materials.
  • Principles of development of technological schemes and those of the procedure of work planing, choice of equipment and tools for the process of production.
  • Formulation of the tasks for scientific investigations concerning the creation of modern mechanical equipment of a certain purpose.
  • Fundamentals of construction and operation of mechanical equipment of chemical and building materials industries.
  • Principles of mathematical modeling and shaping of objects.
  • Methods and means of engineering and computer graphics.

2.Cognitive skills

  • Ability to use professional-profiled knowledge and practical skills from fundamental subjects in processes of operation of equipment for chemical production and for development of new kinds of equipment.

Areas of study for the Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering are technologies of chemical productions and application of apparatus for these technologies; techniques of the use of system-analytical investigations; general aspects which ensure continuous work of equipment; technology and tools for different kinds of preventive maintenance.
Professional profile: machines, processes, and apparatus for chemical productions.
Work in research institutes and establishments of chemical industry and in enterprises of building materials production. Development of production forms and records to the designed equipment, wiring, setting-up, testing, and putting a prototype machine into operation.
Access to further studies: 
The Bachelor in Chemical Engineering can continue his/her training in a university in the second level of higher education (Master) in the field of machines, processes, and apparatus for chemical productions.
Examination regulations, assessment and grading: 
Provisional regulation on knowledge estimation and recognition of student’s rating in the credite-module system of training.
Graduation requirements: 
Completed training curriculum amounting to 237 credits, successfully defensed Bachelor's qualification work.
