Profile of the programme: 
The students acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for performance of production duties and solving typical problems in their activity in chemical and petrochemical industries.
The total amount of the curriculum is 240 ECTS-credits, including module of humanities and social subjects — 24 credits, module of natural, fundamental, and general economic subjects — 60 credits, module of professional and practical training — 156 credits.

1.Subject area knowledge

  • Basic ideas of the structure, control, and optimization of a technological process; selection and calculation for effective consumption of materials.
  • Principles of development of technological schemes and those of the procedure of work planing.
  • Fundamentals of operating the equipment and automated systems of technological processes control.
  • Planing a technological process of production.
  • Methods of calculation of storehouses and some kinds of equipment in a bay.
  • Adjustment of technological condition and compounding depending on availability and quality of row materials.
  • Improvement of technological processes.

The specialist is able to perform the following professional works (according to ДК 003-95):
  • head of a subdivision in industry;
  • head of a small industrial enterprise without administrative staff machinery;
  • laboratory assistant or technician in chemical and physical investigations;
  • laboratory assistant or technician in chemical production;
  • other specialists in the branch of physical and technical sciences.
The specialist can occupy the following primary positions:
  • foreman of a shift;
  • foreman of a bay;
  • laboratory technician (chemical and physical investigations);
  • laboratory assistant (chemical and physical investigations);
  • industrial technician;
  • laboratory technician (chemical production);
  • technician in electrochemical protection;
  • industrial engineer.
Access to further studies: 
The Bachelor in Chemical Technology can continue his/her training in a university in the second level of higher education (Master) in Chemical Technology of Organic Compounds, Chemical Technology of Non-organic Compounds, Engineering Electrochemistry, Chemical Technology of Fuel and Carbonaceous Materials, Chemical Technology of Higher Molecular Weight Compounds, Polymer Technology of Polymers, Chemical Technology of Food Additives and Cosmetic Products, Chemical Technology of Refractory Non-metallic and Silicate Materials.
Examination regulations, assessment and grading: 
Provisional regulation on knowledge estimation and recognition of student’s rating in the credite-module system of training.
Graduation requirements: 
Completed training curriculum amounting to 237 credits, successfully defensed Bachelor’s qualification work.
