Profile of the programme: 
The students acquire the necessary knowledge for calculation, prevention, and prediction of nthropogenic pollutions of environment, methods of purification of gaseous media, industrial liquid wastes, reclaim of solid state wastes in chemical and oil-chemical, industries, in manufacture of building materials, as well as in enterprises of power generation, mechanical engineering, and related ones. In the course of training, the students are in practical way taught to determine the maximum allowed concentrations of harmful substances in biosphere with a help of modern hardware and software.
The total amount of the curriculum is 237 ECTS-credits, including module of humanities and social-economic subjects — 39 credits, module of natural and fundamental subjects — 99 credits, module of professional and practical training — 102 credits.
Key learning outcomes: 

1. Subject area knowledge

  • Basic knowledge about the structure, principle of operation, and wiring of equipment for environment protection.
  • Knowledge about modern equipment for reduction of emission of environmental pollution.
  • Skills in applying the instrumentation for measuring and control of the quality of processes of biosphere pollution purification.
  • Skills in investigation and development in the branch of natural and technical sciences (development in the branch of ecology).

2. Cognitive skills and habits from the subject

  • Ability to use professional-profiled knowledge and practical skills of fundamental subjects in processes of environment protection.
  • Ability to apply knowledge and understanding for qualitative and quantitative problems solving concerning elimination of technological pollutions.
  • Ability to estimate, interpret, and synthesize information and data.
  • Skills in determining and application of science of environment protection and sustainable environmental management.
  • Skills in written and oral presentation of scientific and practical material.

3. Practical skills

  • Skills in designing and operation of purification works.
  • Skills in using special software concerning the estimation of the harmful influence of an industry upon the environment.
  • Skills in work with specialized measuring devices.
  • Skills in estimating the extent of risks from an enterprise to environment.

  • Using main achievements of Ukrainian and World cultures, to be able to analyze past and to-day’s heritages of culture, problems and tendencies of the development of Ukraine and World society.

The objects of activity of the Bachelor in the field of Ecology, Environment Protection, and Sustainable Environmental Management are enterprises of all branches of industry and research establishments where potential menace for the environment and for atmosphere as a whole arise.
The Bachelor participates in experiments, observations, and measurements of the level environmental pollutions; analyzes and generalizes the results of the investigation; the Bachelor also participates in publishing the results.
Access to further studies: 
The Bachelor in Ecology, Environment Protection, and Sustainable Environmental Management can continue his/her training in a university in the second level of higher education (Master) in Ecology, Environment Protection, and Sustainable Environmental Management.
Examination regulations, assessment and grading: 
Provisional on knowledge evaluation and recognition of student’s rating in the credite-module system of training.
Graduation requirements: 
Completed training curriculum amounting to 237 credits, successfully defensed Bachelor’s qualification work.
